Manny Pacquiao's fight with undefeated Timothy Bradley is getting closer and closer. To kick off his preparation for the June 9, 2012 boxing fight, the pound-per-pound champion will start his one-month training next week in the Philippines, after which, it will be continued in the US.
Meanwhile, his opponent, Bradley was recently interviewed by RingTV. Accordingly, Bradley said he learned a lot of lessons on the last Pacquiao fight against Marquez in which he was included in the undercard fight.
"The Marquez fight, it really showed me a lot. Marquez has the fine ability to frustrate and to counterpunch. Marquez was definitely able to lay back and to counterpunch and stuff like that. He was able to isolate Pacquiao at times with solid counterpunching, and he was able to make Manny think in there,” Bradley said.
Bradley acknowledged and said that Marquez's plan in the game was successful. However, he said that he does not have intention of completely copying it in his match against Pacquiao this coming June 9.
“I bring my own flavor to the ring. I have my game plan, and I definitely know what worked for Marquez. I’m going to try to add some of that to my arsenal. But at the end of the day, it’s going to be about my style, and what I’m planning to do. I have a plan, and my job is to go out and execute it, and if I can do that, then I’m going to be successful," Bradley added.
